A grid-tied solution is a pure cost saving solution and works only during the day (sunlight hours). The solution (solar panels) reduces the electricity that you would normally use from your energy supplier (municipality, Eskom or other) to run your energy load. This solution does not have a backup (such as batteries energy storage).

A hybrid solution is when solar panels, energy supplier, generator and batteries are used within the system. The benefit of this solution is that it has storage (batteries) to support essential power load, should the energy provider collapse (load shedding, load reduction, cable theft). This is the most frequently used solution whereby you still have the utility provider as a backup, should the solar and batteries not provide your full energy load.

An Off-Grid solution is ideal when there is no utility provider or a client wants to not rely
on utility provider. The solution comprises of solar and energy storage (battery). This
solution will depend on the total capacity of energy storage that is installed as the solution must cater for those instances whereby energy generates from solar is reduced (extreme cloudy weather, rainy or similar). This solution is generally a standalone solution and has no access to the utility provider.

A solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is one of the various solar finance options available to customers. A customer can enjoy the benefit immediate benefit of cost
savings of a solar system, with no upfront purchase and installation costs. A PPA provides a customised monthly payment plan, where the customer in essences pay for the electricity that is generated and can take ownership of the system at the end of a pre-agreed period.

An Off-Grid solution is ideal when there is no Electricity wheeling is the transport of electricity, over existing electricity grid transmission lines (such as Eskom). Solar wheeling is when solar electricity, generally generated at a solar farm, is wheeled to potential large electricity clients over the existing grid (Eskom) transmission lines. We can provide our customers, that are connected to the electricity grid (Eskom) with a lower cost (per kWh) of solar generated electricity directly to their premises. Some of the benefits of solar wheeling are: cheaper electricity rates (up to 50%), eliminate space constraints to install solar panels, use cleaner electricity (reduce fossil fuel electricity) and reduce carbon emissions.
